Bradford on Avon

 

Beautiful Bradford On Avon  is an unspoilt market town in Wiltshire ,close to the borders of Somerset and only 8 miles from Bath.  This unique town rests peacefully at the bottom of the breathtaking Avon valley and incorporates a river and a canal and boasts a wealth of history, which can be seen through its wonderful architecture.

This historic town holds many memories and as you venture through this bustling community you will see that the Romans, Saxons and Normans have all left behind their distinctive characteristics.  During the 17th century, the town grew due to the woollen industry and the river provided the power for the wool mills which gave the town its wealth.
