NEWS Coast 12th August 2008 - 6th September 2009 I have been asked to exhibit some of my works at the Coast Exhibition run by the Floren Gallery, based in Poole, Dorset. The gallery specialises in Contemporary and Modern British Art and they are one of the leading contemporary art galleries in the South. The Coast Exhibition portrays art and photography from local shorelines and beyond. The artists chosen for this exhibition are wide ranging, both in their styles, mediums and subject matter . Thus, capturing part of the essence of what draws us to the beauty of the sea, be it the wonderous sunsets, the relaxing ambience or the simple vastness of the ocean. Workshops During my travels for my art and photography I meet many different people and I am often asked if I run workshops. Due to this demand and my vast knowledge of the local vicinity I am going to run guided excursions of the area, which will allow amateurs to professionals to put together a portfolio of coastal images. 7th July to 7th September Exhibition at the Landmark Theatre I have been asked to hold an exhibition of my work at the award winning landmark theatre in the North Devon coastal town of Ifracombe. Sponsorship We are pleased to announce that we have been sponsored by a French company called Realviz which provide a stitch software. This has been used in some of my recent panoramics and will be used in exciting new projects which will be added to my portfolio in the near future. Art Business Today I have just had an article written and some pictures published in Art Business today. Art Solution Company A portfolio of art work has been taken on by a leading Art Solution Company for some exciting new projects with large corporate companies Launch of the Ventura Oscar-winning actress Dame Helen Mirren has named the largest super liner designed exclusively for Britain. Dame Helen was chosen to be the ship's Godmother as she embodies glamour, vitality and Britishness which are all of the values featured on the Ventura. Webbers Estate Agents Webbers Estate Agents have recently refurbished their Barnstaple offices and we were asked to provide local images which have been used to produce a large mosaic panel of the local area. Western Morning News I have had a double page spread in the Western Morning News of their weekend edition. The Ventura We were commissioned by P&O cruises to create photographic images of the British coastline, for the latest and largest super liner designed for Britain, Ventura The photographs are part of a £1 million, 7,000-piece modern art collection, featuring works from 40 British artists. The collection is from all disciplines including sculpture, photography, digital print, mural, painting, glasswork, ventricular and mosaic. Ventura is the largest exhibit of our work, with 1800 coastal images adorning the corridors of this magnificent ship. North Devon Journal I have had a write up in the local newspaper the North Devon Journal. Accepted By Top London Art Agency A portfolio of our work has been taken on by a top London Art Agency who provide and supply art services for particular audiences. We have been asked to supply images and works of art to be used in future projects. Fine Art Trade Guild The Fine Art Trade Guild has accepted original works of art and photographic images and we have now become a member. We now have a gallery selection on their web site. The Fine Art Trade Guild is the trade association for the whole of the art and framing industry in the UK and Ireland. It has developed policies covering all aspects of the Art trade and its mission is to promote, develop and inform whilst it sets and maintains standards for members and customers. The Guild logo is displayed on all my leaflets and certificates of which is a sign of commitment to producing work to the highest of standard and quality, with commitment to the code of ethics and the guild print standards. BAA We were pleased to have been commissioned by our first big corporate company BAA to supply a large selection of prints for the employees of terminal 1. We were also asked to provide a large canvas which was printed on 4 separate panels with the intention of it being positioned in the new terminal 5. Signifying the transition from the closure of terminal 1 to the birth of its new terminal 5. This commission was kept within budget and delivered on time. |
